Route description Gravel bike tour Leiser Berge

The Gravelbike cycle route starts in Ladendorf at the railway station, which you can easily reach by train (S2). From the railway station, head north along Brunnengasse before turning left west along the "Blauburger Radweg" cycle path towards Eggersdorf. At the end of Eggersdorf, cycle northwards along the Grafensulzerbach stream (follow the signs for 103 Leiser Hügeltour). When you pass through Grafensulz, follow the path to the left and continue uphill to the railway bridge. Cross this bridge and continue on the dirt track to the edge of the forest - DECEND and PUSH - you are not allowed to ride on the following 800 metres of private land. The tour may only be continued on the gravel bike from the footpath junction in the direction of Draisinenalm. Follow this and turn left onto the road after the forest exit. From the junction, turn left quickly down the road towards Niederleis. Shortly after the start of the castle wall, turn right at the crossroads. Drive up to Au and at the Riepl inn turn right into the village and past the chapel on the left and then up the stony hollow path to the hiking trail on the hilltop. Follow this hiking trail down to the mountain saddle, cross the main road and drive up to Oberleis church and continue steeply uphill to the viewing platform on a crisp stretch of tarmac. Circumnavigate the plateau and descend to the large car park. At the north/west exit, continue westwards up the goods road and turn right at the next junction. Follow the road northwards, turn left at the next junction and a gravel road (Blauburger Radweg) begins here, which you follow through the forest. At the end of the forest there is a beautiful chestnut avenue at the end of which you turn left. Now follow the path along the edge of the forest past the Schüttkasten to the east, turn right at the Semmelberg at the war memorial and watch out for the barrier in front of the main road on the descent! Cross the road and follow the path past the Fasanhaus to Ernstbrunn. Turn right after the cemetery and you will see the main square. Time for a break, which is well deserved. From the main square, the route heads east along Mistelbacherstraße, past the Billa supermarket to the "small railway model". Then turn right towards the railway station and left at the "Zur grünen Insel" inn to the steam locomotive memorial. After crossing the main road and the railway line, follow the tracks and leave the village at the lime works. Along the field path you reach the windbreak, turn right down to Gebmannsbach and over the bridge to the right and after 0.5 km follow the ditch southwards into the village of Gebmanns. On field paths you reach the Gebmannsberg 344 m, descend again and turn right at the Gebmannsbach. Continue downstream past the pond and then turn left onto the road. Before Taschelbach, take the "Blauburger Radweg" cycle path past Eggersdorf and back to Ladendorf railway station.
